2005 HONDA RC-51
A client in Washington state always wanted a Honda RC-51 since they debuted. He finally got his hands on one that was in typical used condition, ran poorly, had swing arm damaged due to improperly installed mufflers and he was disappointed with the bikes overall performance and handling. We told him this is one of the best platform bikes but needed lot of small improvements to really get him what he wanted. We pulled the engine and Eric ported the cylinder heads along with adding a Yoyodyne billet slipper clutch, we then installed the very first K-Tech 35DDS Pro rear shock and Ben completely revalved the front end suspension using K-Techs 20mm SSK valving. We had to remove the swing arm, weld up the damage the hand finish sanded it, finally clear powder coating so that it once again looked 100% perfect. We replaced the cheap slip on mufflers with an absolutely gorgeous fully hand welded titanium exhaust from LBR in Japan along with complete Bazzaz Zfi fuel tuning in house. End result was nearly 20 horsepower at the rear tire! The bike now handles amazing, looks stunning and pulls like it should at over 132rwhp on 92oct pump gas.
