2006 SUZUKI HAYABUSA
Here we have a bike that our client bought “always wanted a Busa” and upon seeing it we could tell she would need a lot of work. The previous owner had installed HEAVY chrome wheels, neon lighting, cut out huge holes in panels for frame sliders and the overall running condition of the bike was pretty poor. We completely stripped bike down, replacing the stock exhaust with Ti-Force’s complete titanium system, billet rearsets by Driven, Bazzaz tuning system and quick shifter and then really started the upgrades. EDR’s Ben Waller completely redid the suspension by re-valving and springing the front end along with a new Ohlins rear shock. We further improved the chassis by swapping out the heavy chrome wheels with extremely light weight forged aluminum UP7x wheels by Dymag UK. The braking was improved dramatically with the addition of ABM Peak floating brake rotors, Vesrah brake pads, SS brake lines, Brembo RCS master cylinders and Motul RBF660 fluid. Upon completion customer was blown away at how drastically changed and improved the bike now was. After riding it for a few months he, like all our clients, decided he
“needed more hp” so we are currently building the entire engine on this bike. Eric has complete reworked the cylinder head with our spec camshafts, heavy duty valve springs and a manual cam chain tensioner. Carrillo steel H-Beam con-rods and custom EDR spec JE 2mm over pistons attach to a brand new 2013 generation crankshaft, adding 4mm of stroke. The new crank was lightened and balanced by our machinist LTM and together the bike is now nearly 1,450cc’s and we are aiming for 210+ rwhp on pump fuel! We will have dyno charts posted by July 2014. We have informed customer to perhaps install Velcro grips on the bike!
