Our man DC from the bay area is no stranger to amazing R1 builds. We have helped him create one of the best known 2008 R1s around! So when he updated to a new R1M, he knew he wouldn't leave well enough alone and sent his new girl up to us at EDR.

We spent a lot of time with DC talking about upgrades, mods and details that would really improve not only the performance but the looks of course too! One thing he wanted to address was the weak lower end this generation of R1/R1M are known for, so of course one of the first upgrades she got was our exclusive EDR Lower end HD Crankshaft stud bolt kits to really help reduce case flex and crank failures, especially at the 200rwhp 14,000 rpm range these bikes operate at! Our kit has been used worldwide and by some very famous race teams we cannot admit too :)

After we got the lower end strong and blueprinted the engine, we turned our attention on tuning the ECU and putting on a Graves full factory race system to do the best it could, with the end result throwing down just at 200rwhp on pump gas!

Looks are hard to improve upon on such a gorgeous bike stock... but we found a way! Our friends at CoreMoto produced us a set of their beautiful lightweight forged alloy wheels. The brakes were greatly updated with of course, our favorite BrakeTech AXIS rotors, Brembo calipers and master cylinder, all topped off with some amazing one off Core Moto custom brake lines complete, with F1 technology Staubli quick disconnect system! Fast Frank Racing was called upon to produce us some beautifully machined quick release axles, front and back, just because it looks fxxking sick! iOneMoto provided their gorgeous carbon SE Composites tank extension, and the super light TighTails alloy subframe, all to really compliment the amazing paint job by our friend ShredDog HydroGraphics... He absolutely nailed the look!

The bike is now doing double duty both on the street and track days in NorCal... rumor has it DC is already in talks with EDR about a new project for 2021... Wonder what it will be?? Stay tuned!
