EDR Performance is pleased to release our latest performance product, this one for the amazing twin Yamaha's!
We have built, raced and tuned 100's of the "7" series Yamaha since inception in 2014. One thing we found was the intake lid (on top of the air filter) was extremely restrictive...why? Easy, NOISE!
WIth modern bikes now becoming so quite with the hideously huge oem mufflers the intake noise is now louder and to meet with regulations and noise limits for oem they are choking our bikes down anyway they can!
We tried some others on the market and were disappointed with not only their cost, nearly $100 but while they for sure helped up top, they seemed to take away some of the great R7/Tenere 700/MT-FZ07/XSR's throttle response.
The Tenere guys really loved how our lid doesn't allow a ton of water to get into the air filter/airbox! We know you guys like to take those things OFF road as you should!
So.. EDR got to work and after months of development we can finally release our final production lid.
This is 100% IN HOUSE at EDR Performance from design on our Solid works SW to production again in house on our state of the art Mark Forged machines, then same day dyno tested over and over. Finally we had several R7 racers, Tenere 700 street clients test them and all came back with glowing reviews. Not to mention on our dyno we saw a consistent +5% in overall power at all RPM that is a huge improvement!
The best is the responses we get back after installing, everyone comments on the improved throttle response and more power but they all love the new deeper intake "growl" on WFO!
