Yamaha R1 Racing Camshaft Set for 2015-2024 models.
These cams were developed by EDR Performance as a result of our near 30 years experience building some of the fastest, most reliable racing engines around. These are the same camshafts we run in our R1 builds. From Street bikes wanting to make over 180 rwhp to Super sport type builds making 195rwhp to full blown 1040cc R1 superbikes making well over 215rwhp!
These camshafts will result in a great improvement over the original stock camshafts. Our cam profiles are designed to produce maximum power over the complete RPM range.
EDR PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFTS ARE BILLET & DLC COATED WITH ADJUSTABLE TIMING GEARS!
These EDR Performance R1 camshafts are not regrinds and no core is needed.
Includes intake and exhaust camshafts. They come DLC (Diamond Like Coating) which is the same coating Moto GP engines use and many new bikes are coming with. This extremely hard coating reduces wear, lowers oil temps and reduces frictions! We even include fully adjustable cam gears should you wanna fine tune the timing or run your own camshaft timing specs!
These cams will provide strong horsepower gains from as low as 5,000rpm all the way to redline with gains over +8 rwhp is normal and even more if you choose to degree and adjust the timing (EDR Performance can provide purchasers timing suggestions but timing is not 100% required) You will see even bigger gains if you pair our camshafts with our velocity stacks and EDR ECU tuning.
EDR Performance billet racing camshaft sets are typically in stock. However if out of stock, will be custom made for you and can take 4-6 weeks time. All camshaft sets are 100% micro-finished. These camshafts are 100% drop in, no need to change valve springs***, remove cylinder head or even change cam timing.
Simply install per oem manual directions, be sure to check/adjust valve clearances (if needed) according to the oem manual. If you have thinner head gasket or machined head you 100% will need to time the camshafts and check PTV.
EDR Performance can provide clearance and/or timing recommendations by our engine builder, Eric Dorn if you choose to fine tune.
Once order is placed, camshafts are 100% NON CANCELABLE OR REFUNDABLE
**note 2015-2016 models we do no recommend using the oem springs, 2017+ oem valve springs are a huge improvement and a safer way to go.
Please note: We try to keep these in stock at all times however due to demand and the fact they are the ONLY Billet camshafts on the market they can run out fast and if so we will have within typically 21 working days.
